History

Our pub dates back to 1760. The building was originally built by the Kay family & was a farmhouse. By 1780 the farmhouse had become the local watering hole, called The Barrel Inn. The Innkeeper was Ann Kay. In 1840, Joseph Kay took over the running of the pub. In 1841, Joseph renamed the pub to The Ship. In 2001, our pub had a major refurbishment & re-opened it’s doors with the name of Ye Olde Mustard Pot.

Today, Ye Olde Mustard Pot is run by Shaun White who has more than 20 years’ experience in hospitality industry.
